Gentrification which is often used in a negative sense and it means the arrival of rich people in an existing urban area due to which there is an increase in rents and values of properties and also changes in the district’s culture and character as well. Gentrification has both positive and negative impacts. One of the negative impacts is that the poor communities in that area might be displaced by the rich outsiders. The positive one is that there will be reduced crime, and there would be newer investments in buildings and its inner workings so that you, your family, your friends, and your community can benefit from it and not fall prey to such things as gentrification.
