Americans think that it’s very easy to get divorce than putting effort to make their marriage work. The commonest reasons for divorce being financial issues, infidelity, change in priorities, poor communication, etc. Divorce not only affects the partners but it also has an effect on the children who suffer from health, behavioral and emotional problems. They do not perform well at school and become victims of drug abuse and commit various crimes. The society must value family over the individual and the American attitude should also be changed in order to reduce the divorce rates.
